Facilitator: Adam Bradshaw
February 07, 2013

While just about every organization has a mission statement that includes some reference to a set of work values, how many organizations really believe in their values and use them to drive organizational success? This session will highlight evidence that corporate work value alignment has been shown to increase job satisfaction and organizational commitment among employees, as well as decrease employee turnover.
We will discuss how to identify your organizational culture as one source for increasing the compatibility of your employees and organization and practical approaches for improving alignment through both talent acquisition and organizational development. We’ll talk about the importance of core work values, how to measure them, and how to improve alignment between the organization and its employees to drive organizational success!

Facilitator: David Daly
Febrary 19 , 2013
1:00pm CT
We have all heard a variety of negative stereotypes about the newest generation. Things such as “Gen Y (AKA Millennials) is different from the rest of the workforce,” “It is hard to handle Gen Y,” or “Gen Y doesn’t want to work hard.”
In this session, we’ll define the age range of Gen Y, Gen X, and Baby Boomers and explore the research findings regarding generational differences. Then, based on these findings, we’ll discuss a variety of strategies for making people of each generation satisfied and engaged, as well as strategies to improve recruitment, selection, on-boarding, and retention for all generations.
