If you plan on a long term career as a project manager, then yes, even with your level of experience, I would suggest getting your PMP.   3. This is the definitive guide to the material tested in the PMP Exam , BUT it is a technical reference more than a study guide. Although it might be possible to pass the PMP using this book alone, it would be much more difficult for most people.
    It is highly advisable to have this book as a reference when studying as it does cover all of the technical details that you will need to know.
