HR Roundtable Network

Below is a special LinkedIn announcement from our friends at HR Roundtable Network.  They are another great example of a networking group that extended their membership reach via the social media platform LinkedIn.

If you've not noticed, membership in the HR Roundtable Network has passed 2,000!

 

Many of you recall that this group started with seven HR professionals around a physical table in Houston back in 2001. In 2009, I moved the group to Linkedin, and it has continued to grow and expand well beyond Houston.

 

Many thanks to all of you who've participated in this growth, and I trust your involvement has been beneficial! I encourage you to post your questions, discussions, job openings, and related HR issues to the group, as there's a wealth of knowledge amongst our members.

Also, be sure to mark your calendars for the Tuesday, October 16 meeting in Houston. More details and a request for RSVPs will follow. Thanks again!

About HR Roundtable Network:

 

The HR Roundtable Network provides a forum for networking and sharing job leads, as well as for gaining insight into career development and career management in today’s marketplace. There are also meetings held generally on the second Tuesday of each month, at Lee Hecht Harrison's Houston office from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM, at 11200 Westheimer, Suite 250.

Attendees are primarily HR professionals from various HR functions and at all organizational levels.

 

Speaker topics vary greatly, but all maintain a goal of providing job search and/or career development information toward setting oneself apart. Past speakers have included recruiters who specialize in HR, journalists whose focus is the workplace, career transition consultants, and successful HR professionals sharing their personal insight.
